The automotive industry in Thailand often involves joint investments with foreign car manufacturers. Research and design for general vehicle development have previously been guided by the parent companies abroad. Therefore, automotive researchers in the country have not been the ones to determine the design of the vehicles produced. However, as the economy improves, the domestic automotive industry is expanding, with increased production for export and further investments, including in human resources. This has led to the promotion of automotive researchers, allowing them to play a more significant role in inventing, studying, researching, designing, and developing vehicles for domestic production. The outcomes will contribute to the sustainable development of the country's automotive industry, and currently, Thailand still requires a significant number of capable automotive researchers.
