Qualifications for the Profession

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Science
• Must have approximately 5-10 years of work experience and hold a ship's officer certificate from the Marine Department (commonly referred to as a ticket) at the captain level
• This profession is restricted to males
• Must have normal vision
• Proficient in English
• Must possess patience, discipline, and good physical health
• High leadership qualities
• Able to solve problems on the spot effectively
