Currently, there are over 500 electrical industry factories, mostly medium and small-sized, employing more than 50,000 people. Most investments are joint ventures with foreign companies, particularly large investment projects which are predominantly foreign, such as from Japan, Taiwan, and the United States. Exports from 2001 to 2005 have also expanded, with the United States being the main market, maintaining a stable market share, although the growth rate of export value remains good. This reflects the demand for electrical component manufacturers for both export and domestic sales has been quite good in recent times, and the trend of industry expansion continues, even though the industry faces significant competition from China.

Qualifications of the Profession

• Graduated from lower secondary school (Grade 9) to upper secondary school (Grade 12) or holds a vocational certificate (Vocational Certificate) or higher vocational certificate (Higher Vocational Certificate) in any field
• Physically fit, not suffering from any diseases that hinder job performance
• High discipline and responsibility
